Simple Cheater Aioli

This is a quick solution to a Classic Italian Aioli recipe.

  • 4 large cloves garlic , minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 cup good quality mayonnaise (homemade is always best)


  1. Place salt on top of garlic on cutting board; using a fork, press the salt into the garlic until it is emulsified
  2. Add the garlic salt mixture to the mayonnaise, to taste (do not add it all at once)
  3. Serve with deep fried calamari: excellent for dipping
