Hi I have had my Thermomix for a few years but have hardly used it which is a real shame. I just think I need a few recipes that will get me on the right track! Your recipes look very good! I am looking forward to trying some of your recipes. I live in Alberta near the city of Red Deer.

Hi love your posts on Lower West Pubnico Last year we were lucky enough to purchase a home there . My husband and I Live in Adelaide Australia and we love Nova Scotia . We were worried about having a summer residence there but as you felt we have been welcomed with an amazing warmth by everyone . The community is very self sufficient and relies heavily on its volunteers . We are proud to be part of such an amazing place , our country could certainly learn a lot from Pubnico .

Thank you, Jacqueline, and welcome to my site! What a great story – it may be missed by the people there unless you copy and paste it under one of the Pubnico posts… I would love to know why you picked this area for your second home…
      🙂

What I would like to post is that I would like to know more about herbal teas such as Essiac which has many healing elements to it. Could you please get the truth on this tea. Thank you, Arlene North

Hi Valerie we had travelled to Nova Scotia on our honeymoon in 2010 we stayed at Tatamagoche in the train cabins , drove the Cabot trail , had a night at Peggie’s Cove B&B, and visited Mahone Bay And Lunnenberg . After that we just yearned to re visit . So we jumped online January 2013 and found 6 homes for under $50,000 CAD which suited our budget and my husband flew over for a week stayed at the Clockmakers Inn in Windsor and proceeded to look for us a summer residence . Lower West Pubnico won as he loves the ocean boats and lakes and I’m a mad quilter and rug hooker . So we are very contented there and we get there 2 times a year . What fun and we work hard saving up for our return and hope we help the community by carefully care taking our 130 year old home for future generations .

MMM, I am actually eating a rappie pie right now. I watched my parents as a child use a concocted drill spinning grater for years, then squeeze a bag of puree by hand. I was intimidated. Then one day i bought a juicer and peel and puree the potatoe. No squeezing required. I just measure the amount of starch out so i add back the chicken stock, no water and it turns out perfectly every single time! LOVE IT!!!

      Christine!
What an excellent idea! Would you mind posting this comment under the rappie pie post so all readers of that recipe can benefit?
      🙂

In your sunkist orange cake, do we leave the peel? Thank you.

      Hi Ginette
The beauty of this luscious recipe is you throw in the entire orange, peel and all. Believe it!
